+My Salvation Story”

Lord, I still remember that night
You reached me in a dream of light.
You called my name so tenderly,
And asked me, “Will you come to Me?”

It was Jesus, standing there,
With open arms and loving care.
But all I felt was fear inside,
So I held back and tried to hide.

The roof above me split apart,
The sky revealed my trembling heart.
I saw the heavens open wide
No place to run, no place to hide.

You called again, “Come now, be free,”
But still I whispered, “Not yet… not me.”
Each time I said no, the sky grew small,
And I felt my soul begin to fall.

I woke up sprawled upon the floor,
My wrist was sore, my heart was sore.
I cried aloud, “Lord, let me in!”
The sky was gone, I’d missed my chance again.

But mercy called beyond the fear,
Your Spirit whispered soft and clear.
You showed me all my sin and pride,
And broke the walls I held inside.

I fell and prayed with tear-stained face,
“Dear Jesus, cover me with grace.
Forgive me, Lord, and make me new
There’s nothing I want more than You.”

So now I lift my voice in praise,
To glorify You all my days.
This is the truth I’m glad to share
My story of salvation, and Your loving care.
